Child Safety
Last updated: 12 July 2026
This platform is built for children in Years 4–6, so safety isn't a feature — it's the design. Here is what that means in practice.
Parents are in control
- Only a parent or guardian can create an account. Children get profiles inside the family account, with a simple PIN instead of an email or password.
- Parents can see every child's progress, and can edit or delete a child profile — or the whole family account — at any time.
No ads, no strangers
- No advertising of any kind, ever.
- No chat or messaging — children cannot contact, or be contacted by, anyone through the platform.
- No public profiles — a child's name and progress are visible only to their own family.
- Comparisons with other children are only ever shown as anonymous group averages, and only when the group is at least 20 children.
Positive by design
- The goal is always "beat your own best" — children compete with their past selves, not with each other.
- No pressure mechanics: streaks encourage a gentle daily habit and can be paused; nothing shames a child for a wrong answer or a missed day.
- All practice content is reviewed by a person before children can see it — including anything drafted with AI assistance.
Minimal data
We collect the minimum needed to run the service and follow the ICO Children's Code — see our Privacy Policy for the details. Children's data is never sold, never used for advertising and never used to train AI models.
